SIO Kolapur unit successfully organized 1 day seminar on “Enjoy the Exam” at Shahu maharaj mini Hall, Kolapur.

 26/01/13:
For SSC and HSC students of kolapur city who are going to face exam in few , SIO Kolhapur unit organized 1 day seminar on the topic “Enjoy the Exam”. Naveed Quadri, Famous Personality development trainer (Incharge career Counsellor of SIO Maharashtra South zone Career guidance cell) explained the student & share his techniques related to exam.
The program was started with introductory speech of Br.Anwar (Local President SIO Kolapur unit) said the importance of organizing such seminar for the student of kolapur city. The program was free for all students.
Around 145 students and 20 teachers and parents where present in the seminar.
Mr. Naveed Quadri Guest of the program started the program by doing demonstration of Relaxation Technique for achieving the goal in life.
Then he explained the topic by diving into two parts first was science of Exam and llnd was Smart study techniques for exam in short time.
Lastly Br.Nadeem explained the Aim & objective of SIO in india.
Lastly the program was ended by vote of thank words by Br.Anwar (Local President SIO Kolapur unit). The parents, teacher and students requested the organizer to organize such beneficial program on large scale for kolapur city.

SIO Hingoli unit  organized successful organized How to study Smartly Before Exam at Shankar Rao Chavhan High School, Hingoli
As the students of SSC and HSC are going to face Exam after fews days, SIO Hingoli unit with SIO MS Zone organized one day seminar on topic “How to study Smartly Before Exam”.The expert Trainer of Topic and famous Career Counsellor Br. Naveed Quadri-famous Career Counsellor, presented the topic.
More than 50 students of SSC benefited the seminar at Maulana Azad High School  & Jr. college. The program was schedule afternoon at 03:00 Pm.
The Seminar was started with introdutry speech of Br. Tareq-Local President, SIO Hingoli Unit. He gaved introdutry words on importance of organizing such advance & science based technique for student facing exam. He also added SIO activity in fielded of education throughout the nation.
After this, Br. Naveed Quadri explained the topic with help of Power Point Presentation and projector. He explained the Topic into two part such as Science of Exam and Smart study techniques for scoring High scores for exam.
At end of seminar student and teacher of school Learned and enjoyed the program.
Lastly the school management expressed their vote of thank to SIO Hingoli and Zone team for conducting such Hitech Seminar for the student facing Exam.

Ph.D and Integrated PhD programmes in Mathematics at IMSc

eligibilty

Institute of Mathematical Science offers PhD and integrated PhD programmes in Mathematics. 

Applicants for the PhD programme should have completed a Masters degree in Mathematics or Statistics by the time they actually join the programme.

Applicants for the integrated PhD programme should have completed a Bachelors degree in Mathematics or Statistics by the time they actually join the programme.

Exceptional candidates with a Bachelors or Masters degree in other fields will also be considered for admission to the integrated PhD programme.

How to apply
Candidates aspiring for admission to the IMSc Ph.D/Integ. Ph.D programmes in Mathematics must appear for the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM) Ph.D scholarships Screening Test. 

The IMSc academic year starts in the month of August. To apply for August of a given year, candidates must write the NBHM exam held in January of that year.

Candidates must apply directly to the NBHM in order to write the screening test. They need not send a separate application to IMSc.

IMSc (and HRI) will get the test scores and copies of the applications directly from the NBHM and will independently send interview call letters to candidates who have passed their screening criteria. Interviews are held in March/April. Final selection of candidates is based on their performance in the interview

How to Apply
When applications are open, forms may be obtained online or in person. For all the programmes, applicants will have to take an entrance examination, typically held towards the end of May at centres throughout the country. All students receive handsome scholarships that meet all expenses. B.Sc. IISER THIRUVANANTHPURAM ADMISSION NOTIFICATION FOR DIFFERENT COURSES


INTEGRATED PH.D. PROGRAMME  AT IISER THIRUVANANTHPURAM

Integrated Ph.D. Programme is a research programme. At the end of the successful completion, Master of Science and Ph.D. degree are awarded.
The first three semesters will consist of core and elective courses specialized in one subject (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics). The fourth semester will consist of advanced courses and project work. After the successful completion of comprehensive and project work, the student will continue with research leading to the Ph.D. degree.
Eligibilty
  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences/Chemical Sciences/ Mathematical Sciences/ Physical Sciences/
    Engineering/ Technology and related areas as applicable to individual Schools, under the 10+2+3/4 system.
  2. Candidates admitted to School of Physics must have a valid score in Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST).
  3. The minimum requirement for admission to the programme is 55\% marks or 6.0 out of 10 CGPA in the
    Bachelor’s degree (as declared by the University).
  4. Relaxation of eligibility criteria for SC/ST and PD applicants will be made according to Government of India rules.
Selection procedure
Short-listed candidates who have applied for School of Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics will be called for a
written test and those short-listed in the written test will appear for interview(s). In the School of Physics, candidates with a valid JEST scorecard will be called for the interview
Duration of the Programme
The maximum duration of the Integrated Ph.D. programme is 14 semesters.
Fellowship
The students will be awarded Institute scholarship of Rs. 10,000/- per month until the successful completion of the
coursework and comprehensive examination provided the student maintains a minimum AGPA (annual grade point average) of 6.0.
After clearing the comprehensive examination the studentship will be made equivalent to that of UGC-CSIR JRF/SRF excluding the contingency grant and HRA. The studentship will be paid for a maximum of 14 semesters (including 4 semesters of course work) for each student provided (s)he is in good academic standing.

GPAT 2013 Online Registration Stars from 17 Jan

GPAT  2013
The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT 2013) is an all India entrance examination for admission to Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) programmes in Pharmaceutical Science to be conducted under the guidance of National Monitoring Committee, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi by The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. The GPAT 2013 online registration will be open on Jan 17, 2013. The entrance exam will be conducted on May 2013. GPAT 2013 Pattern: The GPAT examination will consist of a single paper of 3 hours duration containing 100 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks. The question paper will consist of only multiple choice objective type questions. Each questions will have four choices for the answer. The candidates will have to mark the correct choice on an Optical Response Sheet (ORS) by darkening the appropriate bubble against each question. There will be negative marking for each wrong answer that is 1/3 (one-third) mark will be deducted.
 Eligibility: Candidates should have a B.Pharm degree or appearing for final year examination of B.Pharm are eligible for GPAT 2013. Candidates who are in final year of B.Pharm / Completed B.Pharm degree after lateral entry into B.Pharm after D,Pharm are also eligible to appear for GPAT 2013.
